Sinte Gleska University's Wanbli Ho Journal accepts works of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and critical essays. Under the genre of fiction, we accept micro flash, flash, short story, short plays, and novel excerpts. We are open to cross-genre/hybrid works, memoir, translations, visual art, short films, and reviews. Please include a cover letter detailing the genre, titles, and word count of work(s) submitted, followed by a short author's bio written in the third person. 

* Prose submissions should be no more than 5000-6000 words, but exceptions for exceptional pieces can be made. 

* For poetry, we will accept 3-5 poems per submission. Please submit all poems in a single Word, Pages, or PDF document. If a piece is accepted, we encourage you to submit audio recordings of yourself reading the accepted work(s). This will be published on the journal's web edition along with your poem(s). Filmed accompaniments to poetry or hybrid/cross-genre work will also be considered--please mention this in your cover letter, if you have such accompaniments. 

* For visual art, we accept 72 dpi GIF, JPEG, PNG, or TIFF files for uploaded images. Individual files must be smaller than 2 MB. Please include the titles of each image accompanied by your last name and the year in which the piece was completed. 

We accept and encourage simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if and when a piece has been accepted elsewhere.

In you submission, please provide a short bio--up to 200 words--written in the third person. This will be published along with your work if your submission is accepted.

While we accept simultaneous submissions, please notify us immediately if your prose piece is accepted elsewhere.
